USA Today quoted Johannes Tomasson, spokesman for Iceland’s Ministry of the Interior, as saying Edward Snowden needs to be in the country to apply for asylum. Aw jeez. The guy might be a little busy trying not to be murdered, Mr. Tomasson. Media accounts portray Wikileaks’ involvement and possible assistance to Snowden as less than decisive. Maybe that’s just what’s making the newspapers, though.
Now would be a really good time for Iceland and Wikileaks to live up to their reputations and get Snowden some help.
